Frequently Asked Questions How do I get my child enrolled in Head Start?Click here to fill out the Mini Application on the Head Start Page and mail it in or you may can go to the Agency intake office or any Head Start Center to do the application.If I do an application, does that mean my child will get into Head Start right away?Children are accepted on the basis of agem income and need.What ages does Head Start take?Head Start works with children between the ages of 3 and 5. The child's birthday must fall before July 31st. Children must be 3 before July 31st. Children who are age eligible for Kindergarten are NOT eligible for Head Start.What do I need to register my child for Head Start?You will need the child's birth certificate, Social Security card, insurance card, Medicaid or MC+ card, their immunization record and their proof of income.Is there a fee for Head Start?All Head Start services are free. There are no charges for any of the Head Start services.

I need to know how to get ahold of person who was suppose to come to my home for my daughter Alayna Tuckers head start application
Such Crap! Been trying to contact an " Abby" lady for 2 months just to fill out an online application. Then when we finally got through we were talking to a " Cara" lady and finally thought we made a break through did an application and interview they apparently flagged my daughter as hard of hearing or something when that was never a test conducted. Was first told that shed start aug 15 called and called. Was told at top of an imaginary list for imaginary program they stopped doing wasnt told at all anything but top of list. Next thing end of August we were moved to talk to a " Shelby" lady who said " cara" was promoted and she didnt know anything. Waiting to be moved into the class for my daughter being " top of list" FINALLY a " Sherry Fischer" called Nov 2019 left a message saying thers an opening just for my daughter and my husbands called back almost immediately after and she says " i didnt call you" hung up and blocked our number (it goes straight to voicemail doesnt ring). Completely unprofessional. Weve went through nothing but games and running around to in the end find out that the place wed been inquiring about since march 2019 hasnt been accepting early head start and now that shes almost 3 now " might as well wait 2 more months" on top of the 9 months weve already waited and been drug around with lies open promises and 4 different people. Passing responsibility for the crappy treatment on to the next. Half assed apology and tons of excuses for why this happened. " probably wrong number" " not my responsibilty" " shes emailing me but wont email me back about you" it all started with needing help filling out the online part.....
