Head Start Program Details, hours, photos, information: Calvert Square Center

Head Start is a federally funded early childhood pre-school program for 1,382 children of low income families.We provide children with activities that help them to grow: mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically. Staff members offer children love, acceptance, understanding, and the opportunity to learn and to experience success. Children socialize with others. They solve problems and have other experiences to develop self confidence and social skills. Head Start uses the Creative Curriculum.Children leave Head Start more prepared for kindergarten, excited about learning and ready to succeed. Likewise, Early Head Start children transition easier into Head Start.

SCHEDULES

Part-Day Session

8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Double Session

7:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

12:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Full Day/Year Session

7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
