Head Start is a national program that promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children by providing educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families.

Eligibility
Families that fall in one of these categories are eligible:

Family is receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
Familys gross income falls below the federal poverty guidelines
A family member living with and supported by you is receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
Child is in foster care
Family is homeless

Other eligibility requirements:

Child must be 3 or 4 years old on or before September 1
Family must live in the counties listed above

Enrollment:

We accept applications for enrollment year-round.

The following documents are required, along with your application:

Proof of residency (Utility bill)
Parent's driver's license or photo ID
Proof of medical insurance
Birth certificate
Current immunization (shot) record
Income verification (paystub)
