Head Start Program Details, hours, photos, information: Gaston Point Head Start
This Headstart program is run by The Mississippi State University Extension Service, is a free educational program that offers comprehensive support for children and their families, including children with disabilities, also, is a free program that prepares children (ages 3-5 years) for school readiness.
The MSU-E HS program includes children who would attend the following schools/districts:
- Biloxi
- Gulfport
- Harrison County school district "feeder" elementary schools of Woolmarket, North Woolmarket and DIberville.
- Documents to bring for registration:
Birth certificate or hospital record
Current vaccination record
Proof of monthly income
Proof of residency
Health insurance card

I went by the Gaston Point location to register my son for head start and was advise that prior to registration I had to call a certain number first. When I called the number they in turn advised me to call another number. I have called several times since last week with no response. I called Gaston Point back letting them know that I have called and left messages with no call back. They said I had to keep trying and to leave another message, which I did.
