What type of documentation do I need to apply for head start?

You will need a completed application. Your child's birth certificate (if already born, head start also offers prenatal programs), your child's birth certificate ( other documentation maybe used in special situations) to verify child's birthdate, a complete months worth of income. Also relevant at drop off are you homeless? Does your child have a special need resulting in IEP or IFSP? Are you a foster parent? Are you a TANF recipient? These are categorical criteria that show a need outside of income, they are at-risk populations that show a high need in services.

This is a program that is going through a lot of changes both in the management level all the way down to teaching staff and administration. I am completely new to this position but have many ideas for amador county. I hope to bring a new inspired focus to the county to support the place I hold so dear. Our county is growing and changing and I have a lot still to learn to provide our families the support they should recieve from a head start program, but hope going into this next school year I can do the program justice. It's a joy to work and be apart of this amazing group of people. Everyone within the atcaa organization truly care about the people they work for and that is hard to find.
